Another cute travel jewelry roll! This one has a vinyl zippered compartment so you can see your jewels. The outside fabric is a print of Patty Young's for Modkid.

This is what I did on my Sunday afternoon. No I didn't cut the wood.....I'm trying to move it all and stack it in one area. I'll need help with this one!
Sticker bushes and flips flops....not a good combo. This is what I've been trying to move. It's taking over my life! This is from the tree that tried to take out my house last year.
Stacking wood wasn't enough though. Next I decided to move rock around. Obviously I didn't have enough. Notice the pavers? They are heavy! I put one in the garbage each week. Only 6 more weeks to go.

Where have I been?!
It appears that I haven't been around since July of last year. I must have been busy. LOL! Actually I couldn't remember my ID and password so I gave up. Somehow tonight I managed to remember them. My plan is to write them down now so I don't forget again. I'll be back.

I Like Silly Names!
I work for a mail place. I have customers. I give them nicknames.
I don’t do it to make fun of them. I give them a nickname so that I’m not calling them by their Box #. Hey!! Here comes Box #880!! It just sounds too impersonal.
I thought I would share with you some of these names.
Oompa Loompa-This person has the exact face as the Oompa Loompa in the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The one with Johnny Depp. You know...the guy who is EVERY Oompa Loompa in the movie.
Rifleman-One of my favorite customers. Too obvious I know. Yes he mails rifles and shotguns weekly.
FaLaLa Lady-She sings the opera the entire time she is in the office. Oblivious to anyone else there. Makes you just want to slap her!
The Wizard of Fraud-He named himself. He’s my CPA that recently became a Private Investigator. CPA….PI….strange.
Moleman-He’s a self ordained minister who kills moles for a living. Enough said.
Baby Jane-What ever happened to her?
Certifiable-Gorgeous guy who works for the government. He only mails Certified letters so before I finally asked his name I gave him one of my own.
The Waterboy-He, along with his brothers, owns the bottled water company here in town.
Fred-His name is Don. Don’t ask.
Brown Dude-Well who else but the UPS guy?
The Candyman-He brings me candy because I’m really nice to him. I am really nice to him because he is whacked and I don’t want him going off.
Can’t Complain Enough Guy-Nice man but never anything good to say.
Saving the best for last……
Bidet Man-Sounds like a superhero doesn‘t it? Yes.....he sells bidets for a living.

Visiting Flagstaff, AZ.
Have you ever had one of those days where it was so bad it felt like it had been going on all week? I have. It wasn't bad enough that I am having a bad hair day but the rest of the day? So…to cheer myself up I thought I would talk about my recent trip.
I visited Arizona. My niece in Flagstaff was getting married. My daughter and family live in Tucson so I flew there and we all drove up to Flagstaff. What a beautiful city. I live in the Pacific Northwest and expected Flagstaff to be just like the rest of the Arizona desert. I was pleasantly surprised! It is not much different than here with it’s Ponderosa Pine forests. The weather in Flagstaff is warmer than here. We’ve been in the 60’s. It was about 80 degrees there and I loved it!
On my flight to Tucson I was bumped up to 1st Class. It was great since it was a three hour flight. This was only the second time I have ever flown 1st Class. The first time was also when I visited Jamie. She must be lucky for me.
I think I’d like to move here!!! It's probably really pricey.
The college in Flagstaff is gorgeous. It is also huge! It has a ginormous dome that looked like a spaceship. The rest of the campus was beautiful.

I couldn’t believe how green it was here!

AND.....I got my kicks on Route 66!!

I can't wait to go back. Also the wedding was absolutely beautiful as was my niece. It was so nice to see this side of my family after so long.

More Pictures From Quilt Market!!
Quilt market was HUGE!! The designer's booths were wonderful. Jamie and I bought sooooo....much "stuff". I've got many pictures but can only share a few here.
Look at this gorgeous chair re-covered with prints from Anna Maria Horner's collection.

A picture with Jennifer Paganelli.
Myself, Jennifer and Jamie.

Angela of Bunnys Designs and her mother.

Joel Dewberry's beautiful booth. He had gone home early.

Finally we were so tired we had to sit on the floor to shop!!

Looking forward to Houston Quilt Market in October!!!

Guess Who's Red Shoes??!!
No they aren't Dorothy's!
Jamie of MaricopaFabrics was wearing the same shoes but in black.
They belong to the very talented fabric designer Sandi Henderson aka Portabellopixie. We chatted with Sandi and her husband Dustin at Quilt Market while we looked at her new patterns. Too cute! The two of them were so nice. Sandi also has her newest line of fabric coming out...Farmer's Market. The line is gorgeous and I can't wait to see it in person!!

Quilt Market Was Awesome!!!
We had a great time. We ate way too much but we walked way too much so that helped. Our hotel room was near the convention center so we just hopped the shuttle everyday.
We had quite the day on Thursday the day we started out. We both left in the morning around 7ish. Jamie was flying in from Arizona and I was driving down from Washington. At 7:30AM she called me from the Tucson airport and said her flight was running late and that she may not catch her connection in Salt Lake City. At about 10:30 she called again and yes she did miss it.
While she tried to make other arrangements I kept on driving. I was 40 miles outside of Portland when she called and said that her flight into Portland wouldn't arrive until 7:30PM or later. It was only 11:30AM so I would have had to wait all day for her!! The other option was that her flight would land in Seattle at 3:00PM.
Well.....I didn't want to just sit around the hotel room waiting for Jamie so I decided to turn around and drive up to SeaTac airport (2 hours) to pick her up and then we would drive back down to Portland. (2 hours or so). I know....crazy....but kind of a fun roadtrip.
We arrived at our hotel about 6:00PM way before her flight would have arrived so I think it was worth it. Besides she drove the last leg of the trip and the entire time we were in Portland!! What a nice break.
I'll be posting pictures once I get them uploaded and more about the Market.
